Set designer Whitney Hellesen pays close attention to the texture, scale, and material presence of her sets. Just as comfortable working on small props as she is vast set builds, her striking, contemporary aesthetic and impeccable sense of taste has attracted collaborations with high-level photographers. The New York-based set designer has worked closely with Tyler Mitchell, Luis Alberto Rodriguez, Laura Jane Coulson, and Robin Galiegue.

Clients include Calvin Klein, Helmut Lang, and Tom Ford, and her work has appeared in publications like AnOther, Dazed, DUST, M Le Monde, POP, Re-Edition, Self Service, T Magazine, Vogue and WSJ. With photographer Dominick Sheldon, Hellesen set up an artist's residency in Japan, transforming a traditional townhouse in Kyoto into a space that celebrates local artistry and the power of creativity.
