The Paris-based stylist, creative consultant and fashion editor Omaima Salem unites classic elegance with an idiosyncratic exploration of identity, evolution, and societal change. Drawing inspiration from her French-Egyptian heritage and her early career as a journalist at Vogue Paris, her work thoughtfully examines the intersections of popular culture and fashion imagery that destabilise the primacy of the Western gaze.

She is long-time editor of Marfa Journal and has pursued curatorial projects including ‘Play of Manners’ at Balice Hertling in 2022. She has collaborated with French enfant terrible Gaspar Noe, serving as costume designer for the acclaimed films Love(2015) and Climax (2018). She currently holds the position of Fashion Director at Dazed MENA. Other clients include Dior, Hermès, Vuarnet, Nike, Saint Laurent, System, Vogue, M Le Monde, More or Less, and WSJ.
