A Fair Story is an exploration of the British Showmen community, captured by Jo Metson Scott, in collaboration with poet, researcher and seventh-generation Showman Sheldon Chadwick.

Compiled from over decade with the community, the work looks beyond the fairground to challenge misconceptions and celebrate the rich traditions, specialist skills and lived experiences that shape the Showman culture, showcasing the resilience of the people who sustain Britain’s travelling fairs.
